Description

Due to the increase in volume of packages being shipped through the US Postal System, shipping times have occasionally been longer than those estimated by either eBay or the USPS tracking tool. One pair of reusable hand warmers from Restoration Hardware. The gel-filled hand warmers are cleverly shaped like little hot water bottles and fit inside their own knitted charcoal gray cashmere pouches (which looks like a tiny thumbless mitten). The gel-filled hand warmers have been used several times, but I kept them in my pocket without using the cashmere covers, so the knitted covers are actually unused and look as they did when they were originally purchased. I found them useful for cool weather outdoor activities such as craft fairs, farmers markets, or just walking around ... I can't remember exactly how long they stayed warm, but I think it was an hour or maybe two, so these wouldn't be for all-day-long outdoor activities. The hand warmer is activated by "clicking" (bending between your fingers), the small metal disk inside each gel/liquid filled packet ... causing a chemical reaction... and heat. Once cool, these can be recharged for the next use by first removing the crystalized gel packs from their cashmere pouches, then wrapping the gel packs in fabric (I used a napkin or tea towel), and submerging them in boiling water for 10 to 15 minutes (my experience was it took about 13 minutes). - There are videos online showing how to do this - Photo #7 shows that one pack still has a few crystals floating around inside of it - I probably took it out of the boiling water a little earlier than I could have - this will not affect the function of the hand warmer when the metal disk is "clicked" to activate. These should NOT be recharged by heating in a microwave! The box containing the reusable heat packs and cashmere covers shows a good amount of wear... scuff marks, rubs, peeling paper. This wear can be seen in the last seven photos. MEASUREMENTS cashmere knitted "pouch" with heat pack inside measures about 4¾" by 3" by ½" Please contact me if you are interested in having two or more of my items shipped together in one package. I usually only dust items off with a soft brush but do not aggressively clean them .... leaving the decision 'to clean or not to clean' up to the buyer. Items will be packed in clean recycled materials whenever possible. All "used" items are sold "as is" but ultimately, I want you to be happy with your purchase ... so returns are accepted within 30 days of receiving item for a refund of your original payment. Item should be returned in original condition with all original packing materials.
