T hese travel sized hand warmers are the ideal way to warm you up while on the go. With the snap of a button the warmer heats up, and stays warm for approx. 35 minutes without the risk of over heating or burning. The ideal temperature is reached in just a few seconds. No batteries or microwave needed! Use it anywhere, anytime! Non-toxic and best of all they can be used hundreds of time! How does it work? Each pad contains a a solution of Sodium Acetate (form of salt) and a stainless steel disc in a sealed plastic bag. Flexing the metal disc in the bag causes a single molecule of the solution to crystallize which in turn causes the entire solution to solidify. This change causes the hand warmers to heat up to 130 degrees F / 54 C. They will stay hot for about 35 mins then gradually cool down. The warmers can be used over an over again by recharging them. How to Recharge? Place the hand warmers on a cloth in a pot of boiling water for about 5-8 minutes or until all the crystals have dissolved. (By placing the warmer on a cloth this will prevent the plastic bag from coming in contact with the bottom of the pot.)
